The root to our pain is treating the symptoms, not the cause

Here's what I've concluded:

I believe that the root to our dissatisfaction and unhappiness in life it is because we always deal with the symptoms and not the cause.

Since the war, we grew more and more comfortable, and that's not necessary a good thing entirely.
I've observed how comfort can actually kill you inside out.

One of the causes of being miserable it's Too. Much. Food. Too. Often. 😋

We still go with the narrative of 3 meals/day + snacks would lead to a healthy longer life 😕

For that our body uses the digestive system which:
"On average, a person uses about 10% of their daily energy expenditure digesting and absorbing food, but this percentage changes depending on the type of food you eat."

Every time you put your body through digestion you give your body more work to do, thus not only you'll feel more tired and miserable, but that takes energy away from dealing with let's say cancer cells.
Same goes with over training.

That's why marathon runners or let's say bodybuilders are not looking the healthiest.

I am a totally believer of Fasting.
And yes, if you're not eating for 24 hours you probably won't die, nor faint.
Unless you're having health issues, or a fast metabolism. (make sure you consult your doctor)
But most of us have no serious health issues that would impede our fasting.

The contrary, science argues that it improves blood sugar control, which could be especially useful for those at risk of diabetes,
fights inflammation,
may enhance heart health by improving blood pressure,
it improves both brain function and brain structure,
aids weight loss,
increases growth hormone secretion
(which is vital for growth, metabolism, weight loss and muscle strength),
delays rate of aging and extends longevity,
aids in cancer prevention and so on...

When was the last time you skipped a meal?
Did you faint?
